I don’t usually leave reviews, but this one’s worth it.
I’ve bought a few “protective hoodies” before and most of them felt like regular sweatshirts with marketing hype. This Riparo Kevlar AA hoodie is on a completely different level.
First thing I noticed was the fit — it’s actually fitted and clean, not baggy like most riding hoodies. Looks good on and off the bike, which was a big deal for me.
The build quality is solid. The material feels premium and you can tell it’s not cheap. The full Kevlar/aramid lining gives real confidence, and the fact that it’s AA rated is what sold me.
The CE Level 2 armor is another big plus. It comes included (which is rare at this price), and it sits comfortably — not bulky or awkward.
Honestly, this is the first hoodie I’ve owned that I actually want to wear even when I’m not riding.
Super thrilled with this hoodie. Its comfortable, looks great and provides protection. Before purchasing I always wore a leather jacket and while it worked great, it was heavy and hot. This hoodie offers transfers heat much faster and feels better while riding. Very happy with my purchase and I'll definitely get more stuff from Riparo soon.

First purchase of this product. Got the kevlar hoodie with armor and a pair of bike gloves.
The hoodie fits perfectly and the sizing chart on the website was spot on. You don't notice the armor which is great, and the hoodie is very comfortable, even in 85-degree temps.
So far very happy with this purchase.
The simple fact that it doesn’t look like gear was enough for me, then I got the chance to actually use it and the quality is top notch. This will probably be the only riding gear I use from now on.

Overall, its a good product, only thing its the size chart, im built, 6,3 230 pounds, i choose large but damn its est oversized like i look obese! I don’t know if its normal but i choose the product for the protection and looks im kind of dissapointes
I live in HI and the heat can be unbearable at times. I have been searching for a very long time for a breathable hoodie that did not make me look like a food delivery driver. This zip up hoodie is the answer, got the olive so I dont get baked in the black color. It offers great protect and it allows you to remain cool when riding. My favorite feature is that I do not have to change shirts when I get to my destination, as thing things flows air very well.
Hoodie has a nice weight and will work well above 60 degree- I also tried it around 78 degree and it was ok- when riding it does have some airflow. Love the AA certification and the fit.
Well worth wearing for protection
This hoodie is fantastic. It fits great, looks good, and is breathable while provide the peace of mind of great protection. I have been wearing it on 80+ degree days and pleased to say I am not sweating through my shirt. Highly recommend.
Given the level of abrasion resistance I expected this to be rigid or itchy, but this is pretty cozy in the way of hoodies. It breathes really well at speed. I hope not to test the abrasion resistance any time soon, but this feels like exactly what I needed for commuting on a hot day. It has the full kevlar lining and full set of protectors, finally gear where they dont make you buy the back protector separate. I got 2XL and it was spot on for me.
